That's wrong, trimmed doesn't mean that it is compressed (it would obviously be tagged as compressed instead of trimmed...).

You might have heard, that Nintendo Switch cartridges come in different sizes like 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, 32GB.... and a dumper dumps 100% of the cartridge (including zeros/free space), similar to an ISO of a CD. Trimming means that you trim/remove those aforementioned zeros/free space, that has no use and can therefore be stripped of the image 😊
